Question Access to quality care is important for all Ontarians. In your opinion, what are 2 things that, if implemented, could improve the access and patient experience persons with disabilities that may also improve the overall quality and care experience for all Ontarians? Answer Quality Care Improvement For The Persons With Disabilities Quality care should be the ultimate right for the people visit to healthcare organizations. I think it is important to sustain the basic right of the people with disabilities to access and experience a quality care. The Ontarian disables requires implementation of the Anti-abuse system and implementation of residential service support (Mason, Goddard, Weatherly & Chalkley, 2015). Anti-Abuse System I think prevention from the abuses could be useful for the disable people of Ontario to access to the quality care. The abuses include physical abuse, negligence, emotional abuse and verbal abuse (Mason, Goddard, Weatherly & Chalkley, 2015). The implementation of the prevention from abuse can be beneficial for the Ontarian disable people (Canada, 2018). In the healthcare services, they use to experience physical abuse due to their physical disabilities. Moreover, they are even neglected and abused by the caregivers during their treatment process (Mason, Goddard, Weatherly & Chalkley, 2015). I think the implementation of the anti-abuse system in healthcare can secure their right in healthcare. The Canada Health Act (1984) also secures an indiscriminate right to quality care for the entire population of Canada (Canada, 2018). Implementation Of Residential Service Support The people with disabilities cannot always come to the healthcare organizations for the healthcare issue that keeps them away from quality care. Thus, I think the residential care support must be provided to the disabled people of Ontario in order to assure them their access to the quality care (Canada, 2018). The should be helped to get physicians appointment, they may be helped by providing quality healthcare information and they may be helped by providing nutritious foods to ensure their comfort, safety and access to quality care (Mason, Goddard, Weatherly & Chalkley, 2015).
