Question: Once you have selected a topic, write a proposal for why you should be funded to investigate the relationship between your chosen topic and climate change. Your proposal reference at least 3 journal articles that support your topic as an important issue related to climate change. Answer: Introduction Environmental pollution is costly because it has adverse effects on the humans’ health and is attributed to many diseases and death (Kelishadi, 2012). According to World Health Organization pollution caused an estimated 4.3 million deaths that occurred in the year 2012 were as result household pollution of the air (Kelishadi, 2012). Another 3.7million death occurred due to the pollution of the ambient air, and 0.8 million deaths occurred due to poor hygiene, poor sanitation and due to polluted water (Landrigan, Fuller & Horton, 2015). Living in a polluted environment risks the body to various condition and diseases. In this study, the research proposal focuses on the respiratory, allergies, asthma, and various airways diseases. Statement of the purpose I propose to study the effects of climate change with relations to increased instances on health complication especially for asthmatic conditions, airways diseases, and related allergies. Action plan The project needs a three months-time frame to entirely conduct the research, collect data and present the findings. Benefits of the proposed study Developing the study on climate change and the effects to the human health are crucial because it facilitates and enhances student thinking in reflection knowledge gained in class. As such, one visualizes the ideas and explains the current issue affecting people in the real world (Remoundou & Koundouri, 2009). Personally, I will gain the through the study because it will be chance to practice the theoretical knowledge in carry out a meaningful study on a real issue. Also, the through conducting the research, community will get engaged hence understand the importance of keeping the environment free from pollution so that they reduce the effects such as many disease cases. Other benefit refers to that through data analysis, the result will be useful to relate and explain state or the level of pollution in our environment (Remoundou & Koundouri, 2009). The viability of the study project Since conducting the research offers me an opportunity to review the class work and the works of other scholars, and prepares a learner with the relevant skill to conduct investigations, present and defend the findings. The study will be a great opportunity to grasps the skills in working with mentors, and in the real world aspects of climate change. Finally, a significant number of people I have discussed over the idea agrees that environmental pollution has led to climate changes thus the effects of climate change include diseases. As such, many people approve my concepts on the study. Desired results The first objective for my climate change proposal is to understand or explain the relationship between climate change with climate-related diseases that are very common in society. Secondly, the goal of this proposal is to put efforts and time dedicated to the research will enable one to acquire relevant skills for conducting formal research. Necessary resources The study requires literature reviews and the data from other similar studies to develop the research fully. Also, the research needs adequate time to carry out the survey entirely. Additional resources needed are the tangible resources to facilitate the research. After the completion of the study, I need a session to present the finding to the colleagues and another stakeholder of the study. Necessary skills The project requires good time planner to effectively plan for the activities required in the study and adhere to the specific time or deadline as a set. The study requires excellent skills to present the findings to a group of student and the stakeholders. Also, the study requires skills for analyzing data with variables. Conclusion The study proposes to study the effects of climate change in relation to high cases of deaths related to asthma, allergies, and other respiratory ailments.
