Many hospitals have adopted EHR products because of their effectiveness. There are different EHR products, and people use them according to the software advice. In this paper, I will use two EHR products which encompass epic systems and practice fusion (Giannangelo and Fenton, 2008). I will evaluate the functionality of these products in regards to ease of use, clarity and time. Ease Of Use The Ease of using different EHR products is a very critical aspect to consider. Epic systems are straightforward to use and the most popular among healthcare providers. Epic systems are easy to use because they provide different features of patient engagement including health and family information. On the other hand, practice fusion is a system which is readily available to all doctors. It is easy to use because it has different modules including billing, scheduling, and e-prescribing and patient management. Clarity Epic systems are apparent when using and have low chances of leading to confusion. The product provides clarity because it allows the physicians to carry out billing easily and handle the claims raised by patients effectively. Practice Fusion also gives room for clarity because the product involves the booking of appointments, it is free and also records personal health using the web. Price Epic system is the leading product in EHR, but it is costly due to installations accompanied by it and other products (Koppel and Lehmann, 2014). On the other hand, practice fusion is a free system which is available to all doctors. Installation and usage are therefore not as expensive as Epic systems. Usage According to Kushniruk, Senathirajah, and Borycki (2017), Epic systems is the product which is mostly used, and it has 37 percent of users practice fusion has 8 percent health care users. Overall Satisfaction In regards to gratification, physicians said that practice fusion was more straightforward to use than Epic systems. But all of them are good in health care management and are easy to use (Payne et al., 2015). However, Practice fusion cannot be used in hospitals because it is only designed for small practices.
