Prior to the commencement of this study in 1948, most of the knowledge related to the condition was based on effects of exercise, diet and medications like aspirin (Mahmood et al., 2014). Acquiring a master’s degree in related field is essential for an epidemiologist. Doctoral degrees are more preferred for the job role. Epidemiologists are typically employed in laboratories, health department and government offices. I intend to pursue this career for investigating the causes and patterns of different injuries and diseases in humans.
