Answer The health care system in Australia is identified as one of the best health system. However, the changes in the health care needs has caused intense pressure on the health care system in Australia. The changes in the heathcare needs are caused by the increase in demand and healthcare costs, complicated health conditions and more (Middlestadt, Schechter, Peyton & Tjugum, 2018). The health care system in Australia faces inefficiency and workforce shortages. The health care system in Australia is required to be deal with the varying need of the patients along with the technological advancements. The health care policymakers are suggested to address patient’s needs, care advancement and patient’s engagement in the healthcare delivery (Carlisle, Farmer, Taylor, Larkins & Evans, 2018). The potential problems faced in developing healthcare policies in Australia are given below: The survey done on patient’s experience indicate that the customers expect their involvement in the decisions. So the health policy makers faces problem as a health system goal. Mostly health care practices comprises of awareness raiing and workshops. In this situation, problems are faced in reducing barriers to use these tools in the Australian context. There are restricted price signals due to the higher level of bulkbuying, medical rebate and free hospital care. It acts drectly to the demand for the health services. Additionally, fee for service payments to doctors motivate to offer more services which in turn increases the use of the service. The problem is also faced in examining prevailing health funds and the information resources for the surgical procedures. The funding and the resources are analysed to meet standards and expectations for the health sevices and practitioners (Badland, et. al. 2014). The spending of the consumers on the health care is growing but most of the spending is made for the non-subsidised health services like across the counter medicines, field with the limited subsidies such as dental servces (Kruzikas, et. al. 2014). It puts impact on the spending made by the government. The problem is faced in developing health care policies due to lack of familiarity in health practitioners. The shared decicion making brings out the problems caused by the practitioners. It also increases the related issues of communication skill training for the health practitioners. The health care policies are required to be made available on the basis of the need not on the basis of the people’s capability to pay. People should have accessibility to the service along with the accessibility to the significant services in the appropriate locations.
