PHI 511 Foundations Of Public Health Question: The Quarter Plan is a document you will complete in conjunction with your faculty chair on the goals you wish to accomplish toward completion of your doctoral study. Students will identify their quarterly work plan and deliverables for the quarter, which must be approved by the faculty chair. The purpose of the Quarter Plan is to ensure satisfactory progress toward the doctoral study each quarter. Module 1 is a forum where you will submit your Quarter Plan at the beginning of each term for your faculty chair’s approval, and where you can introduce yourself, and post reflections, comments, and questions to your faculty chair and classmates. You will remain in Module 1 until completion of the program. Each new term you will submit and gain approval for the Quarter Plan, introduce yourself to the class, post updates and comments, and ask questions through the Discussion threads. Students will be in Module 1 throughout each and every quarter. This is a place where students will provide weekly updates to the chair. Also, the faculty chair will approve your Quarter Plan in Module 1. Simultaneously and sequentially you will also work in another Module (2, 3, or 4) depending on the milestone you are currently completing in the sequence. That is, you will work in Module 1/Module 2; then Module 1/Module 3; then Module1/Module 4 until you complete your doctoral study. Thus, you will work in two modules each quarter Learning Objectives Students Will: Engage in scholarly discourse on completing doctoral study Develop quarterly plans for doctoral study Reflect on doctoral study progress Discussion 1: Personal Introductions Begin the term by introducing yourself to your faculty chair and your colleagues. Post by Day 4 of Week 1 of Module 1: Describe your research area of interest, where you are in the doctoral study completion process, and any professional background information that might be of interest to your faculty chair and your colleagues. Although not required, you are strongly encouraged to respond by Day 6 to at least one colleague with collegial observations, comments, advice, or critiques. Answer: My research area of interest is the studying of psychological needs of children in the local communities. Young members in the community require special considerations when it comes to their emotional development since they are not in a position to decide on their lives. The subject is of importance in the health sector as most of these agendas target the older generations forgetting that even children experience psychological problems (Moreno & Smith, 2012). The research, therefore, involves young women as they are potential mothers and with little knowledge about childcare. The program will include medication and strategies that are meant to cater for the safety of the kids. Currently I am taking a doctoral program at Central Maryland School of public health. This institution has an excellent reputation for quality medical curriculum and research actions that guide me in the successful completion of the investigation. The skills and facts that the establishment provides are crucial in the research I am currently conducting as it is a good source of information. I have a great experience in the medical field which is an essential factor when it comes to the acquisition of the necessary skills. My efforts in the public wellbeing sector have been so informative about the situations facing different people in the society and the methods of solving the case (Haines et al., 2007).For over 15 years I have been the City Health Commissioner in Baltimore which gave me the required experience in the field.   References: Moreno-Serra, R., & Smith, P.
