Programmeas SMART goals (Sarah & Heath, 2006) Key evaluation steps for the programme include stakeholder engagement, programmedescription, focus on assessment design, collection of credible information, conclusion justification and dissemination of findings (Sarah & Heath, 2006) The programme lacks clear leaderships, adequate workforce and equipment, and comprehensive information of all cancer types. Recommendations A clear leadership structure should be developed since leaders can facilitate the implementation of evidence-based practices (Aarons, Ehrhart, Farahnak & Hurlburt, 2015) Health-care human resource planning is needed to ensure the programme has adequate workforce with the right skills (Lopes, Almeida & Almada-Lobo, 2015) A collection of sufficient information about all cancer types and rates is needed for the programme. Conclusion The incidence of cancer is high in Scotland and is associated with high mortality rates. The Scotland government has developed “Beating Cancer: Ambition and Action” programme to tackle the cancer problem (Scottish Government, 2017). The recommendations for improving the programme include establishment of clear leadership, addition of workforce and collection of pertinent data about cancer.   References Aarons, G. A., Ehrhart, M.
