Answer: Key Leadership Qualities Required In Hospitality Industry Hospitality industry exists mainly for the purpose of satisfying the needs of the customers and treating in more polite manner. In this way, it requires the effective leadership to satisfy the customers in an effective manner. The first and foremost priority of this industry is to provide the best experience to its guests. Therefore, the important quality of leader in hospitality industry is to make best decisions as well as quick decisions. Besides this, it is also required by the leader to teach its staff how to respond sensitively to its guests. Being a leader in hospitality industry, it is required by the leaders to be punctual as well as organized (Salehzadeh et al, 2015). As the leader in hospitality industry is required to interact with diversified people internationally. Therefore, this job requires the leader to work with different personality type’s people. Leaders are also facing the issue of dealing with communication and uncertainty. As leaders are required to have the concise and clear communication in order to build trust and engaging, motivating the employees. Only few leaders corporate with this as only some leaders know the whole details. This issue can be solved by adopting democratic leadership style (Mohamed, 2016). This will help the leader in inviting the innovative ideas on the part of employees. As a result, it will be able to build the trust and will come to know the industry trends from its employees. The next challenges faced by leaders in today’s time are to lead and guiding the team members (Sheehan, Grant and Garavan, 2018). Team development, team-building, as well as team management are some of the challenges that leaders are facing in today’s time. When leaders brought any change in the organization, the employees due usually resist it to fear of new rules and policies. In order to overcome from this challenge , leader can adopt the participative approach of leadership. This will reduce the chances of resistance of change on the part of employees (Rosenbach, 2018). Employees will also thing that the change is right when leader will make them active participating in the change. Sometimes, employees also resist the change due to the fear of new way of doing work. It is recommended that there should be proper training sessions for the staff working in hospitality industries.
